Iris Bahr is an American-born Israeli actress, comedian, director, and writer. She has appeared on television programs such as Hacks (playing opposite Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder), Friends (as Glenda in The One with Ross's Tan), Curb Your Enthusiasm as Rachel Heinemann (The Ski Lift Episode), The King of Queens, and the series “Svetlana,” executive produced by Mark Cuban, which she also wrote directed for two seasons.. Bahr also played a lead role in the 2006 film Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, and played the part of a documentary film crew sound technician in the 2010 horror film The Last Exorcism.
Iris has written and performed six solo shows. Her most recent show, Stories from The Brink, premiered in Montreal and won the 2024 Frankie Storytelling Award. Her other show, See You Tomorrow, was nominated for the 2024 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding New play. Her critically acclaimed solo show, "DAI (enough)”, which she also performed at the United Nations for over 100 ambassadors and delegates, had a hit run Off-Broadway, has toured around the world, and won the prestigious Lucille Lortel Award for Best Solo Performance, as well as two Drama Desk and UK Stage Award nominations.
“I was in Israel on Oct. 7 and have been sharing the story of that day in my solo show ‘Stories from the Brink,’” she said." “I always believe in letting the audience connect in whatever ways work for them; I’m looking forward to the discussion with the audience to follow post-performance, to listen and understand how they relate to Israel pre- and post-Oct. 7,” she said. Bahr hopes the attendees will connect both with the performance and through the subsequent discussion.
